Ultimate staycation at Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio

14 April 2016 Baguio, Benguet, Philippines

My recent escapade at Azalea Baguio was a blast of getting to know two artists' haven in the city of pines, exploring Mt. Jambo, riding in horses, getting lost at La Trinidad's Strawberry Farm while searching for strawberry ice cream, photographing mouth-watering foods, taking in panoramic views and stopping for plenty of strawberries along the way.

As a local of Baguio I never knew i'll enjoy something like this, and my 3 days and 2 nights ultimate experience getaway at Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio still hasn't left me. Yep, up until now.

But after the fun-filled  and mini adventures of each day, one of the best things about the trip was coming back to our heavenly hotel.

The Location

Azalea Residences is located at Leonard Wood Road in Baguio City, just across Teacher's Camp. It's conveniently located to provide easy access to most of Baguio's tourists destinations, most of which are just 5 to 15 minute drive away.

Checking-In

I have received a wonderful welcome from the reception staff, who greeted me in and offered their welcome drink, while waiting for my friends from Manila to arrive, my luggage was taken up to our room.

The Dining Experience

It was lunch time when m friends from Manila arrive and we dined in Azalea's Tradisyon, which serves Filipino cuisine in a fine dining setting.

The service within the restaurant was absolutely faultless and the food are really mouth-watering. Our meal turned into a gastronomic feast! We were treated to kare-kare (my favorite by the way), sinigang, chicken barbeque, and a lot more. We had a strawberry cupcake for dessert.

The Room

Our welcome was made even more special with a surprise gift of basket of fruits, and beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Our room is a 2 bedroom apartment suite with balcony, 1 queen sized bed and a private toilet and bath in Master's bedroom and 1 full sized bed in the 2nd guest room, which I got all for myself (I got my own cabled TV too). There's also a convertible sofa bed in the living area and 1 common toilet and bath.

Our room is located at the fifth floor and at the back of the building, but we had one of the best views. It's nice waking up with a majestic view and smelling the sweet scent of pine trees. It's nice to do your daily yoga at the balcony too.

There were fluffy robes, slippers, luxury toiletries, a beautiful rain shower and the Wi-Fi was great. We had our own dining area and kitchen, equipped with electric cooktops with range hood, microwave oven, fridge, cookware, electric water kettle, knives, chopping board, and complete dining set. There's a complementary bottled water, coffee, and tea.

8 degrees

Azalea Baguio also got there own bar lounge called 8 Degrees. Why 8 Degrees you ask, because it's the lowest temperature ever recorded in the city. Here you can chill out with friends.

The Verdict

Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio is everything I could hope for. This hotel has everything. Ultimate staycation at its best! Azalea Baguio offers fully furnished Rooms with kitchen and living room facilities. Wallow in luxury with your family for a family fun weekend getaway or a group getaway in the city of pines.

Tip: Did you know? You can request at the reception area for DVDs and/or board games and have it taken to you room.

I think Azalea is best for groups - families and barkadas since the suite is really huge! It's a perfect place to relax and rest after a day of roaming around Baguio. Looks comfy too! :)

  9. We're planning a Baguio trip soon and I haven't found a hotel that seems comfy for a family with a toddler... Azalea seems to have more modern and newer rooms compared to the other hotels in Baguio where we stayed before. Thanks for the review, we may actually stay here this time around!
